SERVING THE COMMUNITY
Since 2017 Arizona Therapy Dogs have served greater Phoenix by enhancing the lives of individuals experiencing physical, mental, emotional or life challenges by providing canine assisted therapy services with therapy dogs that offer assistance, warmth, compassion, unconditional love and a healing energy. Arizona Therapy Dogs volunteers and their therapy dogs as trained and certified teams visit hospitals, care facilities, schools and City & State venues to provide healing. Interested volunteers may join Arizona Therapy Dogs with a dog after evaluation, training and certification. Contact us for membership details, requirements and benefits. Purpose of the Program
Join a fulfilling volunteer initiative that positively impacts our community, all while enjoying time with your beloved furry companion. Our therapy dogs:
- Spread comfort and happiness to patients in hospitals, hospices, schools, and more, creating a healing atmosphere
- Help decrease patient anxiety and blood pressure
- Alleviate stress for healthcare staff
- Participate in special holiday events year-round
